As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you are the technical lynchpin through the entire sales cycle - pre and post sales. You will work closely with prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform.

Your technical expertise in Cloudflare's global distributed network and technology will allow you to find best-fit solutions for prospects, train and onboard new customers, and support the long-term success of the customer.

## Responsibilities

- Drive technical discussions and implementations to help generate new business, expand existing business, and keep customers happy.

- Qualify prospect and customer use cases, discover technical requirements, lead demonstrations, identify solutions, and collaborate on proofs-of-concept (PoCs).

- Advise customers on technical best practices, implementation of Cloudflare products and features, and strategic guidance on internet security and performance.

- 20-30% travel to attend meetings with prospects or customers, conferences, and industry events.

## Requirements

- Demonstrated experience with a scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua, Go).

- Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, GRE, TCP/UDP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL/TLS.

- Familiarity with Zero Trust Framework and SASE-related concepts.

- 12+ years of experience in a customer-facing sales or consulting role.

- Technical curiosity and passion for staying up-to-date with Cloudflare's products and industry trends.

- Strong project management, relationship building, and emotional intelligence skills.

## Desired

- Experience building web applications or contributing to existing ones.

- Understanding of firewalls, L3, L4, and L7 firewalls, and ACLs.

- Familiarity with command-line interfaces, RESTful APIs, and analyzing HTTP requests and responses.

- Knowledge of CSRF, XSS, and SQLi, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them.

- Experience with regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.

- Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

## Compensation

- Estimated annual salary of $200,000 to $250,000 base + commission (Dallas-based hires).

- Eligible to participate in Cloudflare's equity plan.
