## Description

Join the High Power Engineering team at SpaceXAI to design, build, operate, and maintain electrical infrastructure for AI training campuses. As a Power System Engineer on the Transmission & Distribution team, you will work on scaling high-capacity power systems based on compute demand.

Responsibilities:

- Manage the single model of record for the Memphis campus, including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, motor starting, harmonics, transient stability, and EMT studies.

- Create and maintain sitewide power budgets, monitoring, and metering for mission-critical assets.

- Perform detailed analysis on electrical power systems, including one-lines, three-lines, and studies that justify relay settings.

- Ensure compliance with NFPA 70, 70B, 70E, NESC, and IEEE standards, prioritizing safety and engineering excellence.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, physics, or another engineering discipline.

- 3+ years of experience in power systems design, analysis, and studies, with a focus on high-power, high-voltage systems.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

- Experience with power systems analysis software and tools: ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, PowerWorld, Matlab, PSCAD, PSS/E, ASPEN, Simulink, etc.

- Familiarity with industrial power systems up to 345 kV, including switchgear, transformers, BESS, VFDs, motors, distribution systems, UPS/emergency backups, power generation, relaying, metering, protective devices, and networking.

- Professional Engineering license or intention to actively seek a PE license.

Additional Requirements:

- Perform hands-on work in various environments and conditions.

- Work extended hours and weekends as needed to support construction, energization, and operations.

- Provide 24/7 on-call support for emergencies.

- Willing to work on-site in Memphis, TN, with up to 25% travel for factory witness testing, vendor and OEM engagement, and supporting other sites.
