## Description

As a Senior Engineer in HV cables, you will design, install, and maintain high voltage cable systems. You will lead projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and safety standards. Your role includes collaborating with teams, conducting site assessments, and providing technical expertise to ensure reliable and efficient HV cable networks. Senior Engineer will provide technical leadership for the successful delivery of multi-discipline projects.

## Responsibilities

- Design, manufacture, and test HV cables for use in HVAC and HVDC projects both onshore and offshore;

- Lead HV cable system design and ratings using CYMCAP;

- Understand IEC cable standards and CIGRE technical policies;

- Prepare, review, and validate Technical Proposals from Transmission & Distribution projects;

- Create technical documents and calculations using Cable Modelling Software 'CYMCAP';

- Select Bonding Systems, Earth Continuity Cables & Co-Axial Cables, and perform short circuit calculations;

- Witness 3rd party cable activities such as testing, installation, and transportation;

- Hold or work towards Chartered Engineer status.

## Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline, preferably Electrical or Power engineering;

- Five to ten years of experience;

- Expertise in cable design, CYMCAP, bonding, short circuit calculations, continuous current calculations, and EHV cable design;

- Knowledge of HV cable system design, cable sizing, insulation specifications, project management, installation, testing, and maintenance;

- Familiarity with compliance with standards and regulations, site surveys, quality control checks, team collaboration, technical problem-solving, and report preparation;

- Commitment to health and safety compliance.

## Background Verification (BGV)

- Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification (“BGV”) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.
