## Description

IOM is seeking a Head of Peace, Recovery and Solutions Unit (PRSU) to lead the strategic direction, management, and results of the PRSU portfolio in Iraq.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the PRSU portfolio, leading the strategic direction and management of PRSU, advising the Deputy Chief of Mission on peacebuilding, stabilization, recovery, and other relevant areas.

Key responsibilities include:

- Managing the PRSU portfolio within IOM Iraq's strategies and approved results frameworks

- Leading the strategic direction, management, and coordination of PRSU

- Advising the Deputy Chief of Mission on peacebuilding, stabilization, recovery, and other relevant areas

- Overseeing the monitoring of implementation of the assigned PRSU portfolio

- Ensuring that PRSU programmes are evidence-based, conflict-sensitive, rights-based, climate-informed, and aligned with IOM policies and technical standards

- Coordinating PRSU technical inputs to relevant national and UN technical processes

- Driving the systematic integration of protection, Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP), gender equality, disability inclusion, human rights, social cohesion, climate resilience, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), environmental sustainability, and localization across PRSU strategies and programmes

- Establishing and sustaining strategic and technical partnerships with relevant government counterparts, donors, UN entities, and others

- Representing IOM Iraq in technical-level working groups, project steering arrangements, and operational coordination meetings

- Overseeing programmatic, financial, administrative, and risk oversight for the assigned portfolio

- Strengthening results-based management, monitoring, evaluation, research, and organizational learning across PRSU

- Supervising PRSU staff

The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in a relevant field with seven years of relevant professional experience, or a Bachelor's degree with nine years of relevant professional experience.

Required skills and experience include:

- Extensive experience in the formulation, management, oversight, monitoring, and evaluation of complex humanitarian, peacebuilding, stabilization, recovery, or development programmes

- Demonstrated experience providing strategic leadership to a large or multidisciplinary programme portfolio

- Experience in several areas relevant to PRSU, such as peacebuilding, community stabilization, durable solutions, return and reintegration, DDRR, livelihoods and economic recovery, community policing, or local security governance

- Demonstrated experience supervising Programme Managers, technical specialists, and multidisciplinary or geographically dispersed teams
