## Description

Thought Machine is seeking a Security Control Engineer to evaluate threats and risks, design and implement technical and operational solutions, and ensure compliance with contractual requirements and industry good practices.

The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, experience in cloud-based infrastructure, and excellent communication skills.

**Responsibilities:**

- Participate in the design and implementation of security controls and capabilities

- Develop and implement continuous audit and assurance processes

- Respond to client queries and develop materials to communicate security approaches

- Ensure the company's approach to security and business continuity is up-to-date

**Requirements:**

- Experience in cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)

- Experience working with software engineering teams

- Control automation via code (e.g., Python, Go)

- Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud security, and related technologies

- Knowledge of threat modelling and excellent communication skills
