## Description

ThousandEyes is seeking an exceptional Solutions Engineer to join their team.

As a Solutions Engineer, you will be the customer interface for an exciting new technology. You will work closely with the sales team to present ThousandEyes in prospective business opportunities, highlight business value during trials, educate prospects and customers on ThousandEyes, and accelerate growth through expanding market awareness.

Key responsibilities:

- Support the technical sales process

- Assist sales in technical prospecting

- Demonstrate solutions to showcase capabilities and use cases

- Build and maintain technical and trusted advisor relationships with customers

- Support customers during solution trials

- Scope and architect solution deployments

- Present to decision makers during trial wrap-up meetings

As a member of the Solutions Engineering team, you will:

- Participate in weekly team meetings

- Participate in quarterly business review sales meetings

- Present technical topics and successful wins

- Share technical challenges and ways to overcome them

- Interact with the team to ask questions, share experiences, and exchange ideas

- Help establish and enhance demonstration materials

- Research technical topics impacting the industry

You will also interface with Marketing, Product Management and Engineering, and Customer Success teams.

**Qualifications**

- 10+ years of relevant industry experience, 5+ years of solution engineering experience preferred

- Excellent presentation, communication, and problem-solving skills

- Strong understanding of application and network protocols (e.g., HTTP, DNS, TCP/IP, BGP)

- Knowledge of application and network infrastructures

- Knowledge of unified communications

- Experience with application and network performance analysis solutions

- Experience with packet analysis of network and application protocols

- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Javascript)

- Experience with Apple, Linux, and Microsoft operating systems

- Experience with AI/Automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Cursor, Claude)
