## Description

Our team builds and runs cloud-native services and AI capabilities used daily by Cisco engineers, customers, and developers.

You will build and maintain secure microservice applications and REST APIs on AWS and Kubernetes, develop and integrate AI capabilities, and apply secure coding practices.

Responsibilities include:

- Building and maintaining secure microservice applications and REST APIs

- Developing and integrating AI capabilities, including LLM-based features and agents

- Applying secure coding practices across APIs, identity, secrets, and vulnerability fixes

- Writing automated unit, integration, and functional tests

- Contributing to CI/CD and monitoring

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's + 5 years of related experience, or Master's + 3 years of related experience

- 2+ years of professional software engineering experience delivering production code in Python, Java, Go, or JavaScript/TypeScript

- 1+ years of experience developing microservices, REST APIs, or cloud-based applications on a public cloud platform like AWS

- Hands-on experience developing or deploying containerized applications in Kubernetes

- Hands-on experience building applications with generative AI or large language models

Preferred qualifications:

- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning

- Experience developing AI-powered applications or AI agents

- Familiarity with AI frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel

- Familiarity with AI security, guardrails, responsible AI, or AI governance practices
