## Job Description

As Engineering Manager II, you will lead a cross-functional team of engineers, a designer, and data scientists, building intelligent products that use machine learning and AI.

### Responsibilities

You will take ownership of the payment intelligence products already built and work with your team and product manager to decide what to build next. You will be accountable for the quality, delivery, and operation of everything the team ships. You will look after your people through 1:1s, feedback, and career development.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Shipping products that deliver consistent positive impact across your product area

- Developing talent and growing engineers into being the best they can be

- Raising the technical bar and ensuring high standards of technical design and implementation

- Managing project work while balancing stakeholder expectations

- Planning and prioritizing impactful technical investment initiatives for your team

### Requirements

- Professional experience in coding with Python and Ruby on Rails for backend and JavaScript/React on frontend

- Commitment to building reliable, well-tested systems

- Experience working in a strong culture of experimentation, testing, and learning

- Ability to effectively communicate technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences

- Collaboration and cross-functional work experience

- High agency: willingness to take ownership of problems and adapt to a constantly changing environment
