## Description

We are seeking full-time Czech and Slovak interpreters and translators to join our team at Millennium Translations Ltd, based in Newcastle Upon Tyne.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing interpretation and translation services in various settings, including mental health, healthcare, and legal sectors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide consecutive interpretation services in Czech and Slovak languages

- Translate documents, including scientific, legal, and literary texts

- Interpret verbal communications in real-time, maintaining context, meaning, tone, and technical wording

- Consult reference materials to stay up-to-date with terminology and acquire specialist knowledge

- Attend booked assignments, adhering to professional behavior and confidentiality standards

- Work on community engagement and outreach projects

**Requirements:**

- Full UK driver's license and access to a personal vehicle

- Current, valid Enhanced CRB clearance

- Fluency in English and Czech or Slovak languages

- Minimum one year's professional experience in interpreting or translation

- Qualifications in interpreting, translation, or linguistics (MA, BA, DPSI, or equivalent)

- 200 hours of previous experience working as an interpreter, preferably in the public sector

- Two professional references
