## Description

We are seeking a Structures Engineer to join our Air Dominance and Strike Aerostructures Engineering Team. As a Structures Engineer, you will utilise first principle methods and design tools to develop new aircraft products. You will own the development of primary and secondary aircraft structural parts and assemblies, from preliminary design through prototype manufacturing.

Key responsibilities include performing complex modelling and finite element analysis at the detailed component level, major assembly level, and aircraft level. You will apply design for manufacturing concepts to create solutions that are cost-effective and easy to manufacture at rate. You will conduct trade studies and perform design and analysis research of complex engineering concepts to determine an optimal solution for weight, performance, manufacturability, cost, and/or schedule.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is essential, as you will coordinate work with mechanical systems, systems integration, aerodynamics, manufacturing, project engineering, and other team members. On-site engineering support at manufacturing and integration sites is also required.

Required qualifications include a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience. Five or more years of experience in aerospace or related industry is necessary, along with strong technical knowledge in core engineering principles, fundamental mechanics of composite materials, design, analysis, testing, and fabrication.

Preferred qualifications include experience with clean sheet aircraft configuration, high temperature materials, thermal gradient structural analysis, Siemens NX proficiency, fast-paced prototype design and manufacture of uncrewed aircraft, high temperature materials selection, prior experience working in high-speed programs, and hands-on experience with manufacturing.
