## Description

The DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business, used by clients to download Pricing and Reference data in customized and standardized reports.

As a Senior Oracle Database Specialist, you will design and implement changes to Oracle Databases on Azure, AWS, and on-premises, serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency, and delivery mechanisms.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Design, develop, and implement enhancements across Oracle database platforms, including new feature delivery, database performance tuning, and management of Oracle clusters.

- Support the successful delivery of business and technology programmes while ensuring database platforms meet product SLOs.

- Represent the Back-End Engineering team in technical discussions with Architecture, DevOps, Product, and other stakeholders.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

- Lead data platform transformation initiatives, designing and implementing modern ETL and data integration solutions on alternative technology stacks.

- Leverage AI and automation technologies throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

**Experience:**

- 6+ years' hands-on experience of working on Oracle Databases in a low-latency, high-data volume environment.

- Hands-on experience of designing and engineering data architecture and ETL dataflows.

- Experience in performance tuning Oracle databases and Oracle cluster management.

- Solid grasp of Oracle Architecture with extensive experience and hands-on knowledge of PL/SQL.
