## Description

WSP is seeking a Bridge Engineering Department Manager for their Kansas City office.

The successful candidate will lead design and plan development tasks, perform structural analysis and design, and mentor staff.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading design, plan development tasks, and performing structural analysis and design with a focus on Kansas and Missouri highway structures

- Maintaining project scope, design changes, and project budget and schedule

- Mentoring, training, and developing staff

- Providing close coordination with others on the project and performing independent QC/QA reviews

- Visiting clients to grow the business and keeping them informed of upcoming opportunities

- Working with marketing staff to oversee and lead technical proposals

- Representing WSP at professional society meetings and presenting at conferences

- Tracking and monitoring structural staff utilisation and performing performance reviews

The ideal candidate will have:

- A Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering

- P.E. registration in Kansas and/or Missouri

- 15+ years of experience in Structural Engineering with an emphasis on bridges

- Strong technical skills and background in bridge design, roadway, and KDOT/MoDOT design standards

- Leadership experience in a design team or personnel management role
