## Description

We are seeking a Senior Director to join our Card Product Controllers team, focusing on accounting for our Credit Card Business. You will lead a hybrid team of approximately 30 associates, delivering well-managed financial results for our Branded and Business Card and Payments businesses and Rewards offerings.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading a team and communicating complex financial matters to stakeholders

- Identifying opportunities to centralize, eliminate, automate, or outsource activities

- Driving ad-hoc business analysis to display how business actions impact financial results and accounting policy decisions

- Partnering with teams to assess overall strategies and determine how accounting rules and processes impact business decisions

- Working closely with Accounting Policy to research Card Accounting questions and prepare summaries

- Leading a team of highly skilled reconcilers to identify and understand transaction activities

- Partnering with project management and business partner teams to design and implement new business product/program initiatives and processes

- Delivering internal audit review and SOX compliance

We are looking for a team player capable of interacting cross-functionally and at all levels of the organization, with a passion for improvement and a desire to keep learning. You should have thorough knowledge of US GAAP and experience with investment & debt accounting, as well as strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.

This role is designated as a hybrid position, requiring adherence to Capital One's hybrid policy regarding required on-site presence at your designated office location.

The salary range for this role is $217,000 - $247,700 for Richmond, VA and $238,700 - $272,400 for McLean, VA.
