## Description

We are seeking an Assistant Manager Operations to support the back-office activities in the settlement space. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and driving operational excellence across the business globally.

Key responsibilities include:

- Resolving fails and discrepancies with brokers, counterparties, and custodians

- Handling inventory and funding shortages to avoid fail settlement

- Monitoring settlement risk and escalating issues appropriately

- Investigating and resolving cash and position breaks

- Issuing cash and non-cash margin calls

- Maintaining strong operational controls and supporting audit and regulatory reviews

The ideal candidate will have:

- A postgraduate diploma or degree in any discipline

- At least 12 months of experience in a supervisory role

- Experience in Global Securities with proficiency in supervising and managing Debt securities, Equities borrowing and lending, equities settlements, and trade processing management across APAC and EMEA regions

- Relevant Securities background and knowledge

- Strong analytical, statistical, and data mining skills

- Leadership skills with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of people

- Ability to work non-standard Asian hours

- Thorough understanding of contract comparison/SSI platforms like Alert, Equilend, and Pirum
