## Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Developer to join our team in Kanata, Ontario, Canada. This is a full-time, hybrid role that requires working 2 days per week from an HPE office.

As a Software Developer, you will analyze, design, program, debug, and modify software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked, or Internet-related computer programs. You will write code, complete programming, and perform testing and debugging of applications. You will also complete documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance.

Key responsibilities include:

- Designing enhancements, updates, and programming changes for portions and subsystems of end-user applications software

- Analyzing design and determining coding, programming, and integration activities required

- Writing and executing complete testing plans, protocols, and documentation for assigned portion of application

- Leading a project team of other software applications engineers and internal and outsourced development partners

- Collaborating and communicating with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding software applications design status, project progress, and issue resolution

Requirements:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

- 5+ years of software development experience

- Strong experience using software application design tools and languages, including proficiency in C and embedded coding models

- Linux kernel experience and networking knowledge an asset

- Strong independent working initiative and ability to proactively ask questions and problem solve

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
