## Description

We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the evolution of our SDKs, a technically demanding and highly collaborative effort. You'll work with language experts to deliver cutting-edge observability products across our 9 supported languages, with industry leading performance and a world-class developer experience.

Responsibilities:

- Lead, grow, and develop a team of roughly 4-8 library engineers , coaching, giving direct feedback, and empowering senior ICs as technical leaders owning outcomes

- Own team delivery and productivity: planning, milestones, reviews

- Collaborate with Product teams to reshape and grow our platform capabilities, define and deliver industry-leading, open-source, zero-touch APM instrumentation

- Stay technically close to the work, applying strong technical judgment, setting a high standard for quality, contributing code where it matters most, and keeping quality and architecture high

- Build strong relationships and drive alignment across the language teams and product, backend

- Shape team identity and culture

Requirements:

- Experienced Engineering Manager with a track record of shipping

- Strong and empathetic leader with the ability to build and lead high-performing teams to deliver high-quality software

- Ability to pivot from high-level product narratives to highly technical implementation details

- Significant programming experience in one or more of: Go, C, Rust
