## Description

We are seeking a General Ledger Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting information and reporting, primarily in the areas of inventory and intercompany.

**Responsibilities:**

- Prepare and review monthly and quarterly reconciliations for inventory and intercompany accounts

- Reconcile accounts with the general ledger

- Execute month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including account analysis to ensure entries and balances are correct

- Analyze and interpret financial information to ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards

- Collaborate with internal departments to gather, analyze, and interpret relevant financial information

- Enter financial data into the ledger, prepare reports, and maintain supporting documentation

- Ensure internal controls and SOX compliance are adhered to and performed in a timely manner

- Assist in the preparation of audit files, annual accounts, tax declarations, and forms

**Requirements:**

- University or Bachelor degree in Finance or related subject area preferred

- Strong communication and analytical skills

- SAP and/or Peoplesoft knowledge is a strong plus

- Strong general accounting skills (statutory and international standards)

- Ability to work within a complex and changing environment

- Good knowledge of Microsoft PC Tools (MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Visio…)

- Strong quantitative and analytical capability

- Fluent in written and spoken English, Dutch, and French

- Can work independently but is also an excellent team player

- Strong customer orientation
