## Description

As a Tech Linguistic Tester for Norwegian Language, you will primarily be proofreading and editing content already localized to Norwegian, making sure to catch any errors in grammar, typos, syntax, punctuation, capitalization, and more.

You will also be translating content from English to Norwegian and checking UIs for functional issues.

## Responsibilities

- Write and report relevant bugs and errors using best practices through internal database system.

- Prioritize tasks and issues quickly and efficiently.

- Utilize native language skills and cultural awareness of Norway.

- Demonstrate good oral and written communication.

- Maintain high organization and attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

- QA various products by accurately following testing instructions and test cases.

- Discover and report defects (bugs) using client-specific bug tracking tools.

- Evaluate translations in the context of software, mobile apps, and documentation.

- Serve as a subject matter expert for linguistic issues in Norwegian; research and resolve linguistic questions.

- Adhere to project-specific quality standards, trademarks, style guides, and client-preferred checklists and glossaries.

- Troubleshoot basic problems; communicate effectively and escalate testing issues.

- Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner and of high quality.

## Experience

- Ability to work onsite.

- Native-level or fully bilingual fluency (both spoken and written) in Norwegian.

- Up-to-date awareness of current and common technical language usage in Norwegian.

- Strong English skills, both written and verbal.

- Experience with MS applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

- Ability to navigate networks and websites with different browsers.

- Basic knowledge of PC hardware (desktop and laptop).

- Basic knowledge of smartphones (iPhone or Android).

- Familiarity with Android and iOS operating systems.

- 3+ years of professional translation and localization experience.

- Familiarity with native culture and trends.

- Avid user of social media with familiarity with Facebook Family of Apps.

- Experience with consumer devices that provide utility like messaging, health, fitness, calendar, organization.
