Join the team empowering the world to design at Canva, a rapidly growing global company.

As the Motion Designer & Video Editor for Spain, you'll create exceptional social-first motion content for an audience of 250 million people.

You'll work closely with creative strategists, media experts, and the broader marketing team to produce high-performance content.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead on motion design, creating engaging content that showcases Canva's product and brand assets

- Collaborate with creative strategists and media experts to develop effective content strategies

- Work with the local growth creative pod, including UGC Creators, Copy Writers, and Creative Operations Managers

- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of performance creative across social, YouTube, and other platforms

- Create high-quality YouTube assets, treating the platform as a distinct craft

- Recut creator content to optimize performance across various platforms

- Design motion assets for both performance and brand-focused campaigns

- Provide flexible craft support for lifecycle, events, partnerships, and brand campaigns

- Stay up-to-date with modern toolsets, experimenting with AI and motion design technology

Requirements:

- 3-5 years of motion design experience with a portfolio showcasing real shipped work across Meta, TikTok, and YouTube

- Strong fluency in After Effects or Cavalry, with solid video editing skills in CapCut, Canva Video, and/or Premiere Pro

- Experience with social media platforms, understanding what works and what doesn't

- Comfortable with fast feedback loops and data-driven decision-making

- Ability to edit creator content into performance-tuned social work

- Graphic design literacy, with the ability to step into static asset jobs when needed

- Working knowledge of AI tooling and a willingness to experiment

- Spanish and good English, with a feel for cultural resonance in local creative work
