## Description

The Senior Spacecraft Avionics Security Engineer is the technical authority for all space vehicle and avionics product-level security of Millennium's space systems.

You will design, implement, and sustain cryptographic subsystems, red/black separation, and end-to-end security architectures that protect hardware, software, data, and communications throughout the entire vehicle lifecycle and drive security requirements, processes, and verification at the product and mission level.

**Responsibilities:**

- Mission and Product-Level Security Management:

- Define vehicle-wide security architecture, select and integrate space-qualified crypto devices, implement secure boot, key storage, and red/black isolation

- Develop and maintain system security requirements, verification plans, and certification artifacts (DoD RMF, customer security clauses)

- Develop threat assessment models and tailored approaches to counter them

- Support product-level security requirements definition, implementation, verification, and validation across the full lifecycle

- Work with software, hardware, and systems engineering teams to develop new processes and procedures for enhanced cybersecurity implementations at both the product and system level

- Networking Systems Engineering:

- Lead design, requirements management, and integration of space-vehicle and constellation-level networks (on-board LANs, inter-satellite mesh, space-to-ground links)

- Define and maintain CONOPS, ICDs, and requirements for routing, virtualization, VPN tunneling, VLAN segmentation, and QoS across heterogeneous RF/optical links

- Apply enterprise networking principles (WAN/LAN/WLAN, IPv6, MPLS, IPsec) to distributed space systems while preserving red/black separation

- Direct integration and verification activities that validate networking implementations

- Stakeholder & Business Development Support:

- Lead customer interactions on product and system level cybersecurity for space systems

- Develop presentation content and brief customers on Millennium product security approaches

- Assist the business-development team in crafting compliant proposals that meet customer cybersecurity and networking requirements

- Supplier & Government Coordination:

- Define security and networking requirements for component/subsystem suppliers; review supplier deliverables; liaise with government agencies, customers, and industry groups to influence standards and risk-acceptance processes
