## Description

We are seeking an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 1 (MT1) to join our team at Target. As a key member of our Supply Chain Facility team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing automated material handling and facility equipment to ensure high equipment availability rates.

The pay range for this role is $27.00 - $30.35 per hour, with potential for additional compensation through shift differentials. As a team member at Target, you will have access to comprehensive health benefits, 401(k), employee discounts, and other perks.

In this role, you will:

- Maintain and perform basic troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)

- Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment, including Powered Industrial Trucks, HVAC, air compressors, and dryers

- Utilize handheld devices and asset management system mobile apps to create and close Work Orders

- Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization

- Follow safety procedures and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while maintaining equipment

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required

- Valid driver's license

- Basic PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices

- Familiarity with simple wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring

- Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, and commonly used industrial tools

Desired qualifications:

- Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in Mechanical or Electrical field

- 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical field

- Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls

- Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards

Physical demands of the role include regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching, as well as the ability to climb ladders and work at significant heights.
