## Description

Cigna-Evernorth Services Inc. seeks a Software Engineering Advisor for their Plano, TX location.

The role involves resolving complex technical development issues and ensuring quality is maintained by following development patterns and standards.

Responsibilities:

- Prepare deployment and post-deployment plans to support software solution conversions and deployments.

- Collaborate with architects, technical project managers, and developers to certify solutions meet requirements and customer needs.

- Implement good standards and best practices to improve coding quality and reliability.

- Participate in concept definition, software design, and realization of software products supporting strategic technology needs.

- Work across Data and Analytics sectors, including platform development, data processing, and report generation.

- Deliver innovative solutions to complex problems and provide expert content on engineering assignments and projects.

- Develop REST web services using Java and Spring Boot for native mobile applications.

- Coordinate with frontend and backend teams to design solutions for business requirements using Java and J2EE technologies.

- Participate in Agile scrum and retrospective meetings.

- Provide status updates to top management.

- Perform peer reviews of team members' user stories and approve code changes.

- Provide production support, monitor application health, and resolve production incidents.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of software development experience.

- Master's degree with 3 years of experience accepted.

- Experience with gathering requirements, performing impact analysis, preparing estimates, developing software solutions using Java and J2EE, unit testing, integration testing, peer reviews, application support, and root cause analysis.

- Familiarity with Spring, Struts, JavaScript, CSS, Servlets, JSP, Web services, Jenkins, GitHub, SonarQube, SQL, IBM DB2, IBM RAD for WebSphere, Eclipse, WinSCP, DbVisualizer, Putty, ServiceNow, Serena Dimensions, and Unix.
