## Description

As a Senior Reverse Engineer, you will perform anti-cheat assessments covering client-side tampering and network-based cheating. You will also conduct source code reviews of thick clients to gauge against cheat/hack tools.

The EA Security team protects the company by reducing exposure to security risks and providing risk management controls. As a member of the Secure Platform Engineering & Anti-Cheat Response (SPEAR) team, your primary job will be to analyse cheats developed against EA's games and make it harder for cheat developers to create new cheats.

**Responsibilities**

- Reverse engineer obfuscated user-mode and kernel-mode cheats developed for PC, mobile, and consoles

- Document and report on the functionality of analysed cheats

- Solve technical problems in the cheating space

- Create anti-cheat assessment scoping documents and define cheating test cases

- Perform anti-cheat assessments of pre-release products

- Consult with EA game teams on how to reduce classes of cheats

- Develop tools, scripts, and extensions for automation and reverse engineering

- Identify cheat variants that defeat previous mitigations and suggest solutions

**Qualifications**

- Knowledge of ARM architecture

- Knowledge of operating system internals for Windows, Android & Linux

- Understanding of operating system fundamentals

- Ability to read x86/x64 assembly language

- Experience with debuggers and disassemblers

- Understanding of C++, C#, Java, or .NET CIL

- Knowledge of cryptography and obfuscation techniques

**Additional Qualifications**

- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Security

- Information Security certifications

- Experience building tools that automate cheat-related tasks

- Hands-on experience with reverse engineering or anti-cheat/anti-malware development
