## Description

As a Test & Evaluation Engineer you will have a strong passion for planning, executing and reporting of flight test and evaluation activities on uncrewed fixed-wing and multi-rotor aircraft.

You will work alongside a team of engineers and operators across the UK and will support test operations of our Group 2/3 surrogate UAS under the guidance of senior team members.

Responsibilities:

- Support test planning, execution, and reporting.

- Collect and perform initial test data analysis for the system under test.

- Support software and integration testing of UAS systems, in both simulated and field environments.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to interpret test data and identify system behaviors, escalating opportunities for product enhancements and process improvements to senior engineers.

- Assist with the use of test ranges and coordination with external agencies to facilitate testing activities.

- Support test site management duties.

- Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field of engineering, or equivalent experience.

- Working knowledge of COTS and bespoke UAS technologies.

- Quick learner with the capacity to accurately implement new concepts and effectively manage project tasks.

- Exposure to designing and executing testing protocols.

- Comfortable with data analysis and working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Availability to travel for testing-related activities on an as needed basis.

- Flexibility to work additional hours as needed.

- Ability to immediately obtain and maintain a UK security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Some experience with UAS design or operational deployment.

- Working knowledge of UAV testing methodologies and data analysis.

- Hold UK General VLOS Certificate.

- Remote pilot experience on VTOL UAS.

- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.

- Familiarity with programming languages such as Go, Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, etc.
