## Description

We are the Web scale and Service Provider (SP) Product Engineering team responsible for delivering Cisco's best high-performance, provider class routers and switches, the Cisco 8000 series.

As the Technical Leader you will provide new product and ongoing engineering (including DFM/DFA/DFC/DFFS) for a specific product or group of products from pre-concept commit through EOL.

Responsibilities:

- Review, provide input for the design & architecture from DFM, Component technology used, EOL etc and influence the design team for optimum selection.

- Provide all technical support required for Proto builds and ensure cost, Quality and delivery targets are met.

- Manage change management activities & work towards meeting factory and field Quality metrics.

- Drive Value Engineering activities to improve the cost margins during the product life cycle.

- Provide Supply chain continuity & Resiliency support.

Minimum Qualifications:

- BS+6-8 year of work experience as product or design engineer.

- Very good understanding on Electronic product design and architecture.

- Knowledge of PCB design, Stack ups and Allegro.

- Knowledge of Valor and DFM is a Plus.

- Knowledge of PCBA Manufacturing, System Build and NPI process.

- Expected to have good driving capability to work with cross-functional Teams and drive the deliverables to closure.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Good understanding of Hardware interfaces – High speed serial interfaces, PCIE, Ethernet, SATA, I2C etc.

- Design lab experimentation / debug (proficiency continuum) / DOE /EFA.

- Technical lifecycle management (defect reduction team participation, new component qualification, etc).

- Assessing CM and supply chain technical capability gaps.
