## Description

We are seeking a qualified Principal User Experience (UX) Engineer to join our team at American Honda Motor Company. As an Infotainment UX Engineer, you will conduct and utilize existing research to define and develop Infotainment solutions, features, and designs that satisfy customer needs and maintain competitiveness with a focus on C.A.S.E. (Connected Autonomous Shared Electrification).

**Key Accountabilities:**

- Research and report the user experience of current and future products in the automotive and consumer electronics space.

- Analyze user research data to understand customer needs and desires for infotainment systems.

- Correlate and propose modifications and/or new Infotainment solutions within your assigned area of responsibility.

- Create feature and user interface specifications.

- Verify the correct implementation of specifications within your assigned area of responsibility on test setups and vehicles.

- Manage and report on team performance, setting performance objectives and holding team members accountable.

- Identify as a subject matter expert for the department, maintaining external accreditations and staying up-to-date with current and emerging technologies.

- Compile and develop documentation, such as specification sheets, test reports, and evaluation documents.

**Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:**

- Bachelor's degree in Human Factors, Industrial Design, User Experience (UX) design, Engineering, Psychology, Product Development, or a related field.

- At least 8 years of relevant industry experience.

- Experience supervising and directing people and other resources to achieve specific end results within limited timeframes.

- Automotive or similar transportation industry experience is highly desirable.

- Demonstrable experience in conducting user-centered research, product benchmarking, GUI prototyping, and excellent communication skills.

**Workstyle:**

- This is an onsite job with the possibility of one remote workday per week with prior departmental approval.
