## Description

Leidos Energy has an opportunity for a Solar Technology and Energy Consultant to work in a team setting supporting the existing solar consulting practice and managing work products within the practice.

The successful candidate will assist the team with solar resource and PVsyst energy modeling, review performance test provisions and results, write independent engineering and owner advisor solar resource and energy production reports, review and analyze SCADA data, and work with team managers in training and mentoring other technical team members.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering with experience in performance modeling/analysis/testing, engineering design, evaluation of solar technologies, solar drawing development, or operations and maintenance of PV and/or other renewable generation facilities.

Key requirements include:

- Understanding of PV modules and inverters

- Ability to successfully meet deadlines under pressure

- Demonstrated track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external clients

- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications include:

- Two plus years in performance modeling/analysis/testing, engineering design, evaluation of solar technologies, solar drawing development, or operations and maintenance of PV and/or other renewable generation facilities

- Experience as a developer, independent engineer, operator, and/or on a performance optimization team

- Knowledge of HelioScope, PV watts, and SAM

- Python coding abilities

- Foreign language skills, particularly Spanish

The salary range for this position is $87,100.00 - $157,450.00.
