The Senior Technical Lead – Core Technology oversees foundational engineering domains for the NHL franchise, including gameplay engineering, rendering, presentation, audio, and 3D art teams. You'll partner with the Franchise Technical Director to define and drive the long-term Core Technology roadmap, aligning technical direction with franchise and studio goals.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide technical leadership and strategy for core technology domains

- Lead multi-year architectural and foundational initiatives

- Make high-impact technical decisions, balancing trade-offs and mitigating risks

- Own end-to-end delivery for your technology stream, ensuring predictable, reliable, and high-quality shipments

- Collaborate across engineering, design, art, and production to resolve dependencies

- Lead and mentor domain tech leads and senior engineers, fostering a culture of openness, collaboration, and continuous improvement

Requirements:

- 8+ years of professional software or game development experience

- 3+ years of technical leadership or engineering management experience

- Deep expertise in C++ and modern game engine architecture

- Proven ability to drive technical strategy, align teams, and communicate complex ideas
