## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled General Plant Operator (GPO) to join our team at Plant Yates in Newnan, GA. As a GPO, you will be responsible for operating, monitoring, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical power plant equipment related to the operation of a combined cycle and/or combustion turbine power plant.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and troubleshooting, with experience in combustion turbines, combined cycles, or fossil steam boiler-turbines. You will be expected to work independently, communicate effectively with plant stakeholders, and perform thorough operator rounds to evaluate equipment conditions and identify potential hazards.

Key responsibilities include:

- Operating and maintaining plant equipment, including combined cycle and combustion turbine plants

- Troubleshooting and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment

- Performing operator rounds to evaluate equipment conditions and identify potential hazards

- Writing condition reports for noted deficiencies

- Maintaining plant maintenance records in a computer-based work order system (Maximo)

- Working with minimal supervision and acquiring basic computer skills

- Collaborating with other departments to support planning and scheduling activities

- Maintaining proper documentation for assigned systems

Requirements:

- High school graduate or equivalent

- 2-year college/technical degree or equivalent military training preferred

- Combustion turbine, combined cycle, or fossil steam boiler-turbine experience desired

- Previous operations experience desired

- Industrial maintenance and troubleshooting experience required (five or more years desired)

- Experience in industrial electrical/mechanical/I&C or certified training desired
