## Description

As an Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist at Samsara, you'll help ensure invoices and vendor payments are processed accurately, on time, and in accordance with company policies.

You'll report to the Accounts Payable Manager and support the procure-to-pay process, partnering with colleagues across the company and with vendors to resolve questions, keep payments moving, and improve AP processes as Samsara grows.

Responsibilities:

- Process a high volume of invoices accurately and on time

- Process invoices in multiple currencies for domestic and international vendors

- Partner with colleagues to ensure invoices and payments are processed appropriately

- Support weekly payment runs and help ensure vendors are paid on time

- Respond to vendor inquiries

- Maintain accurate accounts payable vendor records

- Reconcile account statements

- Support the monthly AP close, including the soft-close process, AP aging reviews, and accrual preparation

- Assist with the AP forecast

- Prepare analyses, schedules, and presentations to support audits and tax filings

- Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and systems

- Document AP processes in accordance with policies and internal controls

- Perform and maintain AP SOX and operational controls

Requirements:

- 2-3 years of accounts payable experience

- Knowledge of basic accounting principles

- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills and the ability to partner with business stakeholders

- Ability to identify and help resolve issues

- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through

Preferred qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration

- Experience with ERP systems; NetSuite experience is preferred

- Zendesk experience

- SOX compliance experience
