## Description

We are seeking a Machining Process Engineer to join our team in Chihuahua, Mexico. As a Machining Process Engineer, you will be responsible for owning the end-to-end technical aspects of the machining process for major structural components, such as engine blocks, cylinder heads, and crankshafts.

Responsibilities:

- Design, validate, and optimize machining processes to ensure critical engine features achieve micron-level tolerances and statistical capabilities.

- Lead the selection, trial, and optimization of cutting tools in partnership with world-class tooling vendors.

- Develop tool life strategies, flank wear criteria, and regrind/reconditioning programs to drive down Cost Per Part (CPP).

- Interpret daily dimensional reports from Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), surface profilometers, and air gauges.

- Translate geometric deviations into immediate work offset updates, tool wear compensations, or mechanical adjustments to workholding fixtures.

- Analyze cutting kinematics and non-cutting movements within numerical controllers, optimizing tool paths to eliminate bottlenecks.

- Author and audit live process documentation, including Machining PFMEAs, Control Plans, Tool Layout Sheets, and Operator Instruction Sheets.

- Plan and coordinate Plant Trial Runs (PTR) for new part number introductions, product engineering changes, or modifications in raw casting/forging stock.

- Monitor and optimize concentration, pH, and filtration of water-soluble coolant or Minimum Quantity Lubrication (MQL) systems.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Metallurgical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
