## Description

We're looking for a Principal Engineer to work on our edge CDN proxy services and products, focusing on customer speed improvement products, caching systems, and connectivity to customer origins. You will work hands-on and in a leadership role for small groups of engineers, building products and operating services to make Cloudflare the fastest place in the world to serve content from.

Responsibilities:

- Work on edge CDN proxy services and products

- Focus on customer speed improvement products, caching systems, and connectivity to customer origins

- Lead small groups of engineers

- Build products and operate services

Requirements:

- At least 5 years experience as a hands-on engineer

- Experience operating high-performance and large-scale software systems

- Experience leading teams of engineers to deliver projects

- Experience working on multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities

- Detailed knowledge of HTTP and transport protocols

- Ability to work with other teams and maintain clear lines of communication

- Customer-focused experience, building what customers need
