The role of the Operations Associate is a critical part of making Flexport's mission to make global trade easy for everyone a reality. In this role, your direct customers are the partners within your region: our account management and customs teams, subcontractors, carriers, terminals and trucking providers. Your work directly supports Flexport's end customers in achieving their logistics goals.

Responsibilities:

- Ensure shipments move on-time, exceptions are handled proactively, and clients receive a first-class experience through timely, clear communication.

- Manage priorities and commitments independently, satisfying internal KPIs and SLAs.

- Follow standard operating procedures (SOP) and proactively flag opportunities for improvement.

- Solve client issues quickly and ensure smooth operations at origin and destination.

- Coordinate day-to-day operations with internal and external partners.

- Execute the end-to-end movement of freight shipments within a regional network.

- Assist the shipments managed by partners as we drive partner autonomy and parity with insourced operations.

- Use data and operational tools to inform decisions, identify patterns, and contribute to efficiency improvements.

Prerequisites:

- BA/BS Degree or completed professional training as forwarding agent.

- 2+ years of experience in operations, logistics or freight forwarding.

- Technology (and AI) first mindset.

- Effective time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.

- Teamwork and relationship building.

- Orientation towards working smarter and adopting best practices and standardization.

- Problem-solving capabilities.

- Compliance first attitude.

- Client service mindset.

- Language requirement: Mandatory Dutch and fluency in English.
