## Description

We are looking for a Senior Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Japan. As a remote-friendly company, you can work from anywhere in Japan.

Responsibilities:

- Provide excellent customer service as a front-line engineer and representative of ClickHouse

- Handle technical cases via ticket system, email, Slack, phone, etc. within the agreed service level agreement (SLA)

- Collaborate with customers, partners, and colleagues to build strong relationships

- Contribute to the definition of features required by users and customers

- Develop solutions based on ClickHouse Cloud and open-source ClickHouse

- Share knowledge and provide mentoring and training to colleagues, users, and customers

Requirements:

- Experience in a technical support organization

- Strong technical skills in areas such as ClickHouse DBMS, OLAP/SQL databases, cloud/SaaS platforms, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, and containerization

- Ability to work in a global, distributed environment and provide high-quality 24/7 support

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese and English

- Experience in customer-facing roles, such as pre-sales and post-sales support, solution engineering, or consulting

Nice to have:

- Experience in software development, product management, account management, or user community collaboration

- Passion for applying open-source software technology to large datasets to solve complex problems
