## Description

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our Catalyst Engineering IOS XE Platform Independent team. As a member of this team, you will design and develop high-performance system software for various Cisco platforms, including Enterprise Switching & Routers, wireless, and Service Provider Routing Platforms.

Your Impact:

- Collaborate with product management and product teams to understand requirements

- Develop innovative solutions that simplify customer use cases and deployment scenarios

- Design and implement features, application logic, back-end systems, and scalable architectures

- Write requirement, architecture, and design specs, unit test plans

- Design, code, and test in a CI/CD environment

- Review documents and code written by the team

- Ensure the highest standards of quality in documentation, coding, and automated checks

- Work independently on complex issues and implement optimal solutions within a predetermined timeline

- Collaborate with product marketing and product engineering to shape the product roadmap

Minimum Qualifications:

- Passion for solving problems that improve people's lives

- Self-motivated with a curiosity-driven approach

- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent

- 2-3 years of industry experience

- Hands-on experience in one or more of the following technology areas: Core Operating System, Networking technologies/Infrastructure development, L2/L3 Protocols, Cloud technologies, Ansible, Programmability - YANG Data Model development, Netconf/RestConf, Google RPC, Google Protocol buffers

- Experience supporting Telemetry artifacts for large-scale cloud/AI deployments

- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python programming languages

- Strong knowledge of OS/Network protocols

- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience in troubleshooting and debugging complex systems

- Familiarity with AI tools and frameworks
