## Description

Join Howden Insurance Group as a Compliance Advisor on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will be the primary compliance partner for our Corporate & Commercial pillar, driving effective oversight and compliance across various initiatives.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide compliance support and advice to the business, including errors & omissions, financial promotions, and commission disclosures

- Coordinate the compliant handling of complaints referred to the C&C business

- Provide advice to the business on new products, processes, and outsourcing

- Establish a proportional, risk-based assurance framework with business units

- Create effective reporting tools for early compliance risk identification

- Provide technical advice on compliance regulations during product launches and new business models

- Manage compliance-related projects and contribute to broader Compliance Function initiatives

- Prepare and present compliance reports to relevant Governance Committees

- Conduct risk-based oversight of business compliance and address identified regulatory issues

- Foster strong relationships across the business to promote a positive compliance culture

Person specification:

- In-depth knowledge of Commercial Insurance products and regulatory requirements in the UK

- Significant experience in a compliance role within a public company

- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with business leaders and management

- Experience in managing change programs within compliance frameworks

- Familiarity with the FCA handbook and relevant insurance legislation

- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management capabilities

- Ability to influence stakeholders and secure buy-in for compliance initiatives
