As a Staff Software Engineer, Data Collection (Tags & SDKs), you will lead the collection stack end-to-end, including browser tags, mobile SDKs, server-side endpoints, and ingest paths.

The impact you'll have:

- Lead the collection stack from client to server side

- Define schema and versioning contracts for compatibility across SDK versions

- Handle identity across anonymous and authenticated records, devices, and sessions

- Integrate with other CustomerLake products like Profile & Campaign Agents

- Manage page weight, latency, and failure behavior to prevent degradation of host applications

- Collaborate with product management, design, and engineering teams to build scalable solutions

What we look for:

- 10+ years of engineering experience, including time as a tech lead or leading other tech leads

- Experience owning an SDK or client library consumed by external developers

- Knowledge of high-throughput server-side collection, edge endpoints, batching, retries, and delivery guarantees

- Ability to make pragmatic trade-offs and operate in 0→1 environments

- Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, and design teams

- Experience with incident response for code deployed on customer properties is a plus

Pay Range Transparency The pay range for this role is $190,900-$253,750 USD.
