## Description

Ford of Canada is expanding and retooling its vehicle operations at the Oakville Assembly Complex. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will help build state-of-the-art smart vehicles and develop new technologies and processes to increase efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Deliver Manufacturing Delivery Quality Operating System requirements for specific subsystems

- Collaborate with the Product Development team to generate facility and tooling costs, improve quality, and reduce labor requirements

- Use virtual tools to evaluate the feasibility of new model designs for high-volume assembly operations

- Write, modify, and maintain process sheets, and work with assembly plants to ensure a complete operator and equipment workstation is ready for launch

- Lead manufacturing assembly builds and identify, resolve, and close launch product, tooling, and Final Assembly Engineering feasibility issues

- Create and follow a master schedule for the design, build, and implementation of tools within your subsystem

- Lead assembly tooling installation, start-up, and commissioning at the assembly site

- Drive Engineering Change implementation throughout key program milestones

- Develop Lessons Learned from New Model launches and implement Prevent Reoccurrence Actions into future programs

- Support department initiatives across Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People, Morale, Environment, and Innovation

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field of study

- 5+ years experience with automotive assembly tooling, processes, and facilities

- 5+ years experience in one or more of the following automotive systems: Interior, Exterior, Chassis, Powertrain, Electrical, Water test, End of Line

- 3+ years of 3D CAD review experience

- 3+ years demonstrated understanding of Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and failure mode avoidance principles

- Expertise in understanding of bill of materials, change control, process allocation, and issue management systems

- Ability to travel within North American countries as required
