## Description

We are seeking a part-time Front Desk Agent to join our team at Best Western in Sterling, Virginia. As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for anticipating guest needs, exceeding expectations, and implementing creative solutions to provide exceptional service.

### Responsibilities:

- Provide exceptional guest service, responding to guests in a friendly and positive manner.

- Process check-ins and check-outs, verify billing, create reservations, and handle special requests.

- Assist guests with knowledge of hotel property, local attractions, and hotel outlets and services.

- Work as a team player to meet guest needs and contribute to other departments when necessary.

- Follow the company's guest service recovery program.

- Maximize room revenues by utilizing proper selling techniques and strategies.

- Monitor room availability, follow restrictions, and adhere to booking policies and procedures.

- Drive sales by up-selling rooms and amenities.

- Handle cash and process financial transactions according to company procedures.

- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to company, brand, local, state, and federal regulations.

- Attend required department and hotel meetings.

### Required Skills and Experience:

- High school diploma or GED required.

- 1+ year of prior guest service experience in a hospitality setting.

- Excellent verbal communication skills.

- Attention to detail, customer-focused, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 pounds occasionally.

- Availability for AM shifts during the week and possible weekends.

### Additional Information:

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including the applicant's qualifications, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications, or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F.
