## Description

As a Power Unit Performance Engineer at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg, Germany, you contribute significantly to the success of the project by working on highly complex test benches, state-of-the-art HiL systems, a dynamic driving simulator (DiL), and race support from Mission Control.

Your mission involves interfacing between internal combustion engine (ICE), hybrid system (ERS), Standard ECU (SECU), transmission, and hydraulics, focusing on performance, testing, and development.

Key responsibilities include:

- Defining, developing, and supporting energy management and fuel-saving strategies

- Aligning theoretical requirements with practical driver needs

- Monitoring and analysing powertrain performance during testing and races

- Executing tests and simulations to improve powertrain efficiency and reliability

- Tracking performance development throughout the season

- Documenting and analysing faults and their resolution

The ideal candidate has a technical or scientific degree (e.g., mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or aerospace engineering) and possesses solid knowledge of data analysis and evaluation.

Required skills and experience include:

- Extensive experience with ECU software application

- Combustion engine software experience and understanding of high-performance engines

- Understanding of torque distribution in hybrid systems

- Knowledge of race car vehicle dynamics and powertrain influencing parameters

- Experience with McLaren/Motion Applied ATLAS, System Monitor, and vTAG

- Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink, ideally with McLaren/Motion Applied TAG ECUs

- Understanding of technical and sporting Formula 1 regulations

- Analytical, structured, and independent working style with strong teamwork and coordination skills
