Join Aviva Canada as a Casualty Claims Specialist, handling bodily injury claims in litigation and providing exceptional customer service.

The primary role is to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and settle casualty claims according to Aviva's procedures and philosophy.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Interpret and confirm insurance coverage using case law and policy wordings

- Investigate, evaluate, and settle litigated and non-litigated files

- Develop strategies to handle files and instruct independent adjusters as needed

- Ensure accurate and timely setting of file reserves

- Control expenses through proactive handling techniques

- Collaborate with defence counsel on litigated files

- Provide excellent customer and partner communication

- Clearly document and summarize file activity

- Adhere to Aviva's claim procedures and guidelines

- Deliver outstanding customer service

**Requirements:**

- 1-3 years of experience handling litigated bodily injury claims

- Strong knowledge of third-party liability claims and litigation

- Experience with mediation, pre-trial, and trial processes

- Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills

- Post-secondary education in a related field; CIP designation is an asset
