## Description

As a Precision Controls Engineer at 3M, you will develop, deploy, and support advanced control solutions for ultra-precision manufacturing systems. You will work with innovative 3Mers around the world to make an impact by employing creativity and engineering rigor to identify and mitigate sources of positioning error. You will manage requirements, provide cost and schedule estimates, and apply sound project management practices to guarantee successful delivery of capital equipment projects.

To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a Physical Science. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed include a Master's degree or higher in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, experience designing and deploying advanced motion control systems, and familiarity with precision engineering concepts such as error budgeting and ultra-precision metrology.

The expected compensation range for this position is $98,964 - $120,957, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay. 3M offers many programs to help you live your best life, including medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts, and retirement benefits.

You will work on-site at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN, with the possibility of up to 35% domestic or international travel.
