## Description

Sandbox VR is looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer to help shape the future of immersive multiplayer VR experiences. You will bring gameplay to life by building player interactions, AI behaviors, and core systems in Unity, working closely with designers and artists to create engaging, high-quality experiences.

Responsibilities:

- Implement game mechanics and AI behaviors for 6-person multiplayer experiences & provide mentorship to other programmers

- Push the limits of the Unity game engine to maximize VR experience quality

- Stay up-to-date with the latest features and optimization techniques

- Develop tools and processes to improve the development process

- Contribute to creative, maintainable code that can be reused across experiences

- Own key areas of the experience from a technical perspective

- Experiment with game design using rapid prototyping

- Work closely with art and design to create and iterate on gameplay features

- Fix bugs in existing gameplay systems

- Contribute ideas to all aspects of VR experience production and development

Requirements:

- Software or feature group team lead experience

- Exceptional C# programming skills with at least 5 years of software programming experience

- Significant experience in programming with the Unity engine

- Proven track record of shipping at least 2 commercial games

- Strong understanding of current gaming trends and popular games releases

- Regular VR game player
