## Description

We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer Developer - DevSecOps to join our Special Projects Dallas (SPD) P-8A Poseidon Maritime Patrol Aircraft Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) team in Richardson, TX.

As a Lead Software Engineer Developer - DevSecOps, you will lead and independently execute DevSecOps and software engineering activities across the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, automated testing, security validation, deployment, and sustainment.

Key responsibilities:

- Leads and independently executes DevSecOps activities for mission systems and training software across build, test, deployment, and sustainment workflows

- Partners with software, systems, cybersecurity, test, and IT teams to design, develop, secure, troubleshoot, and validate software solutions

- Designs, implements, and maintains CI/CD pipelines that support continuous integration, automated testing, security scanning, and controlled deployment

- Integrates security automation throughout the software lifecycle

- Develops, documents, and maintains software architectures, requirements, interfaces, algorithms, and designs

- Builds and maintains automation for software builds, packaging, environment provisioning, test execution, and software release processes

- Supports Infrastructure as Code and environment automation to improve repeatability and reduce manual configuration

- Drives secure coding practices, pipeline quality gates, and release readiness criteria

- Collaborates with cybersecurity and compliance stakeholders to ensure software delivery workflows align with security requirements and development standards

- Troubleshoots integration, deployment, performance, and runtime issues across development, test, and operational environments

- Supports automated and manual testing activities, documents test results, and verifies functional and cybersecurity requirements are met

- Improves observability, logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities to enhance operational awareness and system reliability

- Mentors team members on DevSecOps practices, secure development, automation, and delivery best practices

- Contributes to Agile development processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, reviews, and retrospectives

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree

- 9+ years' experience with engineering development lifecycle tasks

- 4+ years' experience with DevSecOps

- Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required)

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience with source control, branching strategies, code review practices, and release management

- Experience troubleshooting complex software issues in integrated environments

- Experience working in a collaborative engineering environment with cross-functional teams

- Experience with CI/CD and software delivery tooling

- Experience with Infrastructure as code and configuration management tools

- Experience with automated testing and quality tools

- Experience with security tooling

- Experience with secure software development, cyber compliance, and DevSecOps governance

- Experience with Linux operating systems and shell scripting

- Experience with programming/scripting languages

- Experience with observability tools
