## Description

We are seeking a Mid-Weight Designer to join our team at Soho House in London.

As a Mid-Weight Designer, you will be responsible for producing high-quality project design deliverables from concept generation to both FF&E specification and construction documents. You will work on one large or multiple smaller projects simultaneously, overseen by the Senior Designer/Lead Designer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Produce high-quality project design deliverables from concept phase to construction packages

- Work closely with the project team to ensure efficient design management processes and implementation initiatives

- Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met, with the overview of Senior/Lead Designer where appropriate

- Create project schedules, design drawings, and facilitate the prototype process by liaising between the design team and suppliers

- Manage the project timetable and interior design budget, working closely with the Procurement Agent to ensure smooth delivery of projects

- Maintain the integrity of agreed design solutions by taking responsibility for design development and project progression

- Undertake ongoing reviews of subsequent stages with input from Lead Designer & Design Director for key project stages

- Assign project hours to Harvest on a daily basis

Team Management:

- Monitor resources on projects

- Help maintain a positive and happy work environment

Standards/Project Running:

- Ensure projects follow office standards and help keep standards up-to-date with project information and administration

Project Responsibilities:

Stage 1: Initial Concept

- Familiarize yourself with internal project programme, deadlines, and budget

- Take responsibility for overall concept direction with Senior Designer/Lead Designer oversight

- Organize regular reviews with Lead Designer/Design Director

Stage 2: Detailed Concept

- Create final layout plans, ensuring client/operational requirements are met

- Develop FF&E proposals and schedules, reviewed by Senior Designer/Lead Designer

- Review FF&E Budget with Procurement Manager

Stage 3: Detailed Design Package

- Create Tender Packages

- Liaise with Project Design Team to ensure coordination between drawings

- Participate in V.E Workshops

- Liaise with Procurement Manager to ensure understanding of Design Intent

- Manage RFI's

- Create construction drawings

- Collate and coordinate Workshop Drawings with Senior Designer/Lead Designer oversight

- Organize prototype development and reviews with Lead Designer/Design Director oversight

Stage 4: Site Attendance

- Attend site meetings

- Attend Design Team Meetings

- Coordinate delivery/installation with Procurement Team

Stage 5: Installation & Handover

- Manage and coordinate site installation

- Create detailed and user-friendly Handover documents

- Responsible for snagging and follow-up process
