## Description

Priory Hospital Nelson House in Gosport, Hampshire is seeking a Mental Health Nurse to join their team. The hospital offers level 1 and level 2 care for males with mental health conditions and complex needs.

The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated and compassionate team, working effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team to promote the best interests of clients and their carers. They will be responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive care environment, exercising professional accountability and responsibility, and using their nursing skills, knowledge, and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments.

Key responsibilities include:

- Working effectively as a valued member of the Multi-Disciplinary Team

- Promoting the best interests of clients and their carers

- Ensuring prescribed nursing care is delivered safely and effectively

- Maintaining a safe and supportive care environment

- Exercising professional accountability and responsibility

- Using nursing skills, knowledge, and expertise to respond effectively to changing environments

Essential skills, knowledge, and expertise include:

- Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse with active NMC registration

- Good understanding of NMC guidelines, requirements, and professional standards

- Evidence of ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD)

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Positive attitude with a commitment to change, improvement, and delivering high-quality care

- Ability to work flexibly and use innovative approaches to care
