## Description

WSP is seeking a Senior Bridge Structural Engineer to join their team in Burlington, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for the inspection, preliminary, and detail design of bridges and other civil structures for federal, provincial, municipal, and private clients.

The Senior Bridge Structural Engineer will report to the Burlington Bridge Group Manager and will be part of a highly qualified team experienced in bridge planning, inspection, evaluation, rehabilitation, new design, and project administration.

Key responsibilities include:

- Carrying out preliminary and detail design of bridges, culverts, retaining walls, and other civil structures

- Preparing engineering drawings, form of tenders, quantity take-offs, and construction cost estimates

- Checking designs and drawings, preparing specifications and contract documents

- Reviewing shop drawings, carrying out contract administration and construction supervision

- Preparing reports and proposals, undertaking bridge inspections, assessments, and reports

- Providing technical guidance and direction to support staff, contractors, and/or vendors

Requirements:

- University degree in Civil Engineering

- Professional Engineer registered in the province of Ontario with 5-10 years of demonstrated experience in structural design and bridge engineering in Canada

- Superior technical understanding, design abilities, and current on bridge technologies

- Strong knowledge of structural analysis software used in bridge design

- Experience with inspection, assessment, recommendations, and rehabilitation of existing structures

- Experience with contract administration and construction supervision

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work on several projects at a time with multiple design teams

- Valid driver's license

Compensation:

- $104,500 - $143,900 (MB & ON)
