Join the Ford Product Development team as a Diagnostics & Data Systems Engineer. You'll work on delivering breakthrough products and services that delight customers, focusing on advancements in autonomy, electrification, and smart mobility technologies.

## Responsibilities

As a Diagnostics & Data Systems Engineer, you will:

- Engineer and manage complex algorithms to analyze vehicle data streams for identifying systemic issues within electronic and software systems.

- Analyze system behaviors and define data acquisition requirements for onboard vehicle modules.

- Develop sophisticated scripts using Python to query, collect, and categorize data from large-scale cloud-based data repositories (AWS and Google Cloud).

- Perform meticulous analysis of vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication logs to diagnose complex behavioral faults.

- Execute complex queries on massive datasets to identify statistical patterns and correlations.

- Design, implement, and maintain robust, cloud-native tools and analytical platforms.

- Provide engineering and quality teams with capabilities for rapid root cause analysis of aberrant vehicle behaviors.

## Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.

- 3 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

- 3 years of experience with diagnosing and resolving 12-volt battery drainage or warranty claims.

- 2 years of experience with Vector CAN tools, Python programming, and conducting testing and validation of complex vehicle systems.

- 1 year of experience with automotive electrical architecture, cloud diagnostics, and querying large datasets from cloud platforms.
