## Description

We are seeking a Cake Decorator to join our team at Target. As a Cake Decorator, you will play a crucial role in providing an exceptional guest experience by creating beautifully decorated cakes and desserts.

Responsibilities:

- Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments

- Greet guests, help them find what they need, and resolve issues to ensure a smooth shopping experience

- Actively support team efforts and assist peers in other areas while maintaining a positive and respectful attitude

- Adjust to business and guest needs to deliver an easy and inspiring guest experience

- Deliver an exceptional guest experience, providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations

- Execute Food & Beverage processes, including food deliveries, replenishment, and merchandising

- Engage with guests to capture and fulfill their customized cake orders

- Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards

- Produce, package, and label items to specifications on production cards

- Prep, ice, and decorate cakes and cupcakes to place on the sales floor

- Follow all food safety requirements and monitor temperature of sensitive food items

- Locate and identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to Target's policies and procedures

- Use sampling and suggestive selling to promote products and increase sales

- Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure accurate recording of inventory

- Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment

- Always demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance

- Work in a safe manner at all times and comply with all safety policies and best practices

Requirements:

- Must be at least 18 years of age or older

- Previous cake decorating experience preferred, but not required

- Artistic skills to design and execute customized desserts

- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members

- Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed

- Work both independently and with a team

- Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot

- Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
