## Description

Wise Europe is seeking a Head of FinCrime / AMLCO (MLRO) to join its 2LOD Compliance team in Brussels. This role involves leading the Financial Crime Oversight team and ensuring effective mitigation of financial crime risks.

Responsibilities:

- Lead the 2LOD Financial Crime team overseeing financial crime compliance for Wise Europe

- Implement the Belgian AML Law and related regulations across the EEA market

- Supervise Wise Europe's financial crime controls to ensure risks are considered in daily operations

- Develop and maintain the Financial Crime oversight framework

- Oversee approval of high-risk customers and Suspicious Activity Reports

- Prepare quarterly compliance reports to the Board of Directors of Wise Europe

- Engage externally with regulators, auditors, and partners

Team management:

- Lead a team of financial crime oversight staff

- Ensure the team's structure remains adequate

- Mentor and assist team members

Qualifications:

- Minimum 10 years of experience in AML/CTF compliance

- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing processes

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Fluent English and French or Dutch

- Ability to travel to other offices as needed
